Unidad Park | Las Cruces
Highland Enterprises was awarded a $925,000 contract to renovate one of Las Cruces’ most cherished parks, Unidad Park. Our team removed deteriorating wooden structures originally built with community support in 2001. We then installed new, durable materials to ensure the park’s safety and longevity. Key improvements included the construction of new shower and restroom buildings, refurbishing of existing park features, and the installation of a splash pad, which was part of the park’s original design but never fully realized.
In addition, we enhanced accessibility by replacing the parking lot and upgrading park infrastructure. This project, funded through the city’s general obligation bonds, reflects the community’s commitment to creating safe, modern recreational spaces for future generations. The renovation is expected to be completed by summer 2022.
